I gasped when I saw this ask. Thank you for visiting my website, I am such a big fan of yours. Your writings give me so much comfort. Perhaps comfort is the wrong word to use about someone's suffering, maybe something akin to kinship? I feel less alone reading your words, and by sharing them I hope you do too.
As for your question, I would tell her to buy bitcoin. Just kidding. I would like to be kind, she deserves some kindness for once in her life, but that would be a disservice, so I would tell her the truth:
Nothing is ever going to change, and you will find yourself in the exact same place 10, 20 years from now, miserable and living half a life. Chase joy wherever you can find it, because you will regret it later, and do not lose yourself for the sake of others' comfort. They will not appreciate it, and you will just erode into a non-entity. Do you know how many years of your life you wasted just because you didn't want to hurt someone's feelings? Fuck that. Passivity has never served you well. And stop waiting for tomorrow because it will never come. If you aren't who you wish you were right now, you never will be.
Sorry, that was more than one thing, wasn't it. But this was me tying to be restrained.

Thank you so much! I've been meaning to make a dedicated playlist page, but in the meantime, here's a list of every song on my website and the page it's on.

You make me want to return to the void of the womb just to relearn how to write. What was the most significant kind of literature you’ve read that contributed to your style of writing now?
vesperings replied:
Oh, that's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me! Much of my "style" is resultant of a lifelong, very pretentious and dramatic, diary-writing habit. For that, there is no person better to look to than Anaïs Nin. She can be incredibly insufferable at points, especially in her unexpurgated writings, but no doubt she has served as my greatest inspiration to write more consistently and intimately. Only upon reading the first volume of her diaries did I begin to consider the act an art-form rather than merely sporadic venting in eyeliner scribbles. Not that my journals even remotely resemble art, but a lot of what I post online comes from them.
